Ladies Tea
A lovely event attended by the ladies of St. Mark’s who gather at the Rectory for an afternoon tea, including some delicious treats and lite bites. A perfect event for the ladies to chat and get to know each other better. Attendees are welcome to bring a guest. Ashes on the Go An easy and convenient way for parish members and non-members to receive their ashes on Ash Wednesday. Held in the back parking lot of St. Mark’s, our Pastor, Rev. Lorna stays outside between 8-9am and gives ashes to those who pull up in the parking lot. A great way to receive your ashes on the way to work, before or after school drop-off, or for anyone who has a busy day and may not have the time to attend a formal church service. Ashes on the Go is open to anyone in the community. Blessing of the Animals Celebrate St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals, and have your pet blessed by our Pastor, Rev. Lorna on the lawn of St. Mark’s. This event is held every October (on the Sunday of the Feast of St. Francis the Assisi). Open to the community, you may bring your pet (or a picture of your pet if that’s easier) for a prayer and blessing offered by Rev. Lorna. Donations of cat or dog food are accepted (but not necessary) to bring to our local animal shelter. |
